Penallta u9s

The under 9's travelled to St Albans today to play the home team and the visiting Old Illtydians RFC in a round robin fixture. Penallta were up first against St Albans and it was end to end magic from both sides resulting in a 4 all drawer, with two tries each from Joe 'The Magician' Lace and Kian 'Turbo' Young. A quick breather and it was on to the next game with Old Illtydians. Still energised from the great first game the mini-Pitmen increased the tempo, playing some of the best rugby we've so far this season. With another 3 tries from The Magician Joe Lace, two from Tobie Cribb, one more from Turbo Kian Young and a stormer, run in from the half way line straight through the opposition from Aaron Beach meant a convincing win 7 - 4 for Penallta. This weeks man of the match goes to a very well deserving Kian 'Turbo' Young for his hard work and persistence throughout both games, putting in some quality tackles as well as a very healthy try count. This weeks most improved player is Evan Busby, keep it up buddy. Da iawn to both!! See you all later at the Halloween Party!!!! 👻
