100th Penallta appearance for Ross Morgan

Congratulations to Penallta captain, Ross Morgan, who today will make his 100th first team appearance against Caerleon in the Swalec Plate (kick off: 2pm on the 3G)

Ross has enjoyed a stellar career with the Pitmen and was rewarded with the captaincy in the summer when he took over the reins from Lee Rowlands. At just 26 and in great shape, Ross has a chance to add plenty more appearances and plenty of trophies to the ones captains Rowley and Kieran Mahoney lifted before him.

Appearance milestones are arriving sooner for Penallta's young squad. Just recently 23 year-old prop Lloyd Bridges went past 100 games, and then Jonny Wright, at just 25, reached the remarkable of 150 caps against Rhydyfelin.

It's fitting that Ross will reach his appearance in a Swalec Plate tie. In a career already littered with big wins and memorable moments, Ross's biggest achievement was lifting the Plate at the Millennium Stadium in 2012. Ross scored two tries at the national stadium that day, helping Penallta to a brilliant victory.

Ross has a fantastic attitude and works as hard as anybody at his fitness - he is a wonderful role model for any youngster who wants to get the best out of himself. He embodies the Penallta way, with a fitness, skill and determination to punch well above his weight. A superb warrior and leader, well done to captain Morgan on reaching his century.
